
Eligibility
Find out if your vehicle is eligible for the CAAR program. Being eligible doesn't guarantee a repair. Repairs are approved based on the likelihood of improving air quality and the vehicle's condition.
If you're not sure if you are eligible, apply anyway! We will review your application materials and let you know if you will qualify.

Proof of Ownership

Gasoline or Hybrid

Your vehicle must have a gasoline fueled internal combustion engine or Hybrid

No diesel powered vehicles

No electric

Failed Emissions Test

In most cases: Your vehicle must have a failed emissions test. We are currently only accepting vehicles that have not passed or can't pass emissions at a Colorado emissions testing facility.

Exceptions may include your catalytic converter has been stolen or damaged

Or otherwise advised by an emissions technician.

Only vehicles registered in these counties are eligible:

Vehicle must be over 8 Years Old and Newer than 2001

We are only able to accept vehicles that are between 2001 and 2018. Vehicles that are 2000 or older are not eligible for the program.

Operational and Not Oversized

Mileage Limit - 300K
-
No altered tires/suspension or safety conditions that prevent testing

No deliberately tampered emissions control systems (except stolen emissions control devices)

If your Catalytic Converter was stolen or was damage during an attempted steal - you will need a police report as well.

We won't take oversized vehicles such as RV's but will review once you apply.
